General Manager David Poile of the Nashville Predators told one of the local TV stations that he hopes to see Preds goalie Thomas Vokoun back in action by September.

That's great news for all Predators fans and I'm betting the rest of the team is happy to hear that as well. Vokoun was nothing short of awesome for Nashville this year until blood clots in his stomach ended his season a little too soon.

Backup goalie Chris Mason did a great job but I sure would rather have Thomas Vokoun back in the net.

Preds signed Vokoun yesterday to a 4 year extension. He received the franchise's richest contract ever at 22.8 million.
That's alot of confidence after the scare of the blood clots - they put him on blood thinners and regulated it over three months and he's cleared and ready to go.
That's some contract.
91-69-26 since he became the Predators starting goalie.
