Nashville Predators Stanley Cup Playoffs

The Nashville Predators looked like they had the right stuff at times this season. Unfortunately, they're already out of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

After winning their 1st playoff game at home, the Preds drop 4 stright to the San Jose Sharks. Game 5 ended 2-1 with some good excitement in the final minutes after Nashville pulled their goalkeeper. Almost gave up an empty net goal with about a minute to go but a quick Pred was able to save that.

I guess the bottom line is that Nashville's NHL team is for real. They're realistic playoff contenders for several years now. Anybody think that we can make it to the finals soon? or are we doomed to struggle with the Blew Jackets for bottom of the barrel? ( hehe, just kidding )

What's next year hold for the Preds?

Re: Nashville Predators Stanley Cup Playoffs

The Blew jackets-funny. A friend of mine wrote me this weekend and said,
Sorry about the Maple Griefs.
So who deserves to win the cup more than most? thornton. And Boston deserves to watch him win it.
But the Predators shocked me - I had no idea of the depth. Perreault is an old leaf who rocked at centre drops and how could you not root for Kariya? I hate to sound like a skipped record but - was it the goaltending issue? Toskala (who?) did a pretty decent job in net and with Vokoun out, did the Preds come up short, confidence wise and net wise?
They're a team that is getting better and better, with a strong base (except maybe get Vokoun back), i agree, like our most favoured Columbus team - well, they're better.
