NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -The Nashville Predators agreed to terms with Vern Fiddler on a two-year deal Wednesday, avoiding a salary arbitration hearing with the forward.
Fiddler, 27, played in a career-high 72 games last season and had 11 goals and 15 assists. The 5-foot-11, 204-pound center had a plus-11 rating.
He will earn $800,000 next season and $900,000 in the 2008-09 campaign. He signed as a free agent in 2002, and he has 23 goals and 21 assists in 148 career NHL games.
