Nashville Predators sold

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (CP) - Canadian billionaire Jim Balsillie might get his NHL team after all.

The co-CEO of Waterloo, Ont.-based Blackberry makers Research in Motion Ltd., has reached a tentative agreement to buy the Nashville Predators, a source close the negotiations confirmed to the Canadian Press Wednesday. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The deal would still have to be investigated and approved by the NHL's board of governors.

Re: Nashville Predators sold

This is a shock to me. I didn't even know the Predators were up for sale. Are they struggling financially?

Re: Nashville Predators sold

Yes they lost money last year. And unlike most teams that lost money last year the Predators are good on the ice. See you in Waterloo.
