NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - After seven NHL seasons, David Legwand is producing exactly how the Nashville Predators hoped when they made him the first draft pick in team history.
Legwand, the No. 2 choice in the 1998 draft, has shed the pressure that comes with such status and is putting together his best year yet. The 26-year-old centre had a goal and two assists as Nashville beat the Calgary Flames 5-3 on Monday night. He has 14 goals and 22 assists this season, including 15 points (six goals, nine assists) in his last 13 games.
