Triples

There have been many drivers in NASCAR history to win 3 races in a row. But, there's one "statistic" that stands out in the list: there is a single string of races won by a single driver in which another single driver captured the pole position.

Your mission, should you choose to accept, is to:
  1. name the driver with 3 consecutive wins;
  2. name the driver with 3 consecutive poles for those races; and
  3. add any other info relative to this anomaly that you think interesting.

Bless your heart. There is medical help for those afflicted with "DW Fondness." Two shots of penicillin just south of the sciatic nerve.

Of note, the previous driver to won four in a row was Cale Y. Both he and Doofus won their four while driving for Junior Johnson.

Re: Triples

At first I thought I hadn't adequately communicated the premise of this question. But after re-reading my original post I find all the information is there. So, LSC, go back and read the whole post then come back with the correct answer.

Hint: there are 2 different drivers involved - this is not a "win from the pole" question.

Your askin for the driver that got the pole for 3 consecutive, as well as the driver that won those consecutively... correct?
