Best record? By best fnishes iot'd be 1987, with 11 wins, 5 2nds, a 3rd, 2 4ths, 2 5ths, and 5 other top tens with 1 pole. However, the best stat he had, IMNSVHO, was laps led. He led 3358 out of 9043 laps completed, or approx 37%! He won $2,069,243 ('90 was a better eyar, $-wise; he won $3,308,056 then, with only 4 wins) In '87 he was driving for RCR in my personal favourite car, the #3 Wrangler Chev.

Worst year was 1977 when he ran one race, the NAPA National 500 at Charlotte. He finished 38th in a 41 car field driving the #19 John Ray Chev for Henley Gray. FYI, a bad rear end put him out after 25 laps.
