Thumbs up Longest Rain Delay Ever

*** i will announce at the beginning that i dont know the answer to this question .... but i thought it would a be real interesting bit of trivia to find out

what is the longest rain delay ever in one NASCAR race

they start the race .. have a rain delay .. then finish the race

is it hours ? ..... days ?

im curious to see the answers

The Michigan 400 didn't finish until Tuesday. Can't recall if it started as scheduled or not.

The longest rain delay I call think of was the 1997 Spring Talladega race, but I don't think it'd meet your criteria.

They never actually started, then stopped the race. It was a rainout on Sunday, 4/27 and again the next day. They then had to postpone it because the haulers had to head for Sears Point for the race the following weekend. They finally ran the race on May 10 (Mother's Day, ironically), two weeks after the original race date.
