Smallest Starting Fields?

It's hard to believe with all the hoopla about "Go-or-Go-Home'rs", but NASCAR Cup hasn't always had the problem of too many cars. In fact, there are 6 current Cup tracks that have had pretty miserable showings.

Can you name the 6 current NASCAR Cup tracks hosting races with less than 25 cars in the starting field?

Which of the 6 had the worst showing?

Re: Smallest Starting Fields?

Guess I'll have to give a few hints:

one of the tracks is having a race this weekend...

two of the tracks are known for their first class facilities....

one of the tracks is hard to get tickets for....

I can't believe this .. over a hundred views and yet not one guess.

my guess is the subject isn't intriguing enough...

or maybe a prize should be offered...

but (though I made a mistake in saying "6" tracks instead of "7") there's one more that had the smallest starting field ever of 12: Richmond, 4/61. it also had fields of 16, 19 (twice), 20 and 22 (4 times).

a pat on the back.

if you read the fine print you'll see that no prize was officially offered, only suggested.

Sorry .. I did have the Richmond one on my list but failed to circle that number. I guess I get no pat on the back anyway.

6 out of 7 is a result most folks would be happy with... ya still get a pat on the back.
