| The Worst Car Number To Ever Win a Race The number 58 has only appeared in NASCAR's premier series 132 times. Drivers running this number have failed to finish half of those 132 races. In fact, there are only 3 lead lap finishes for this number on record, yet there has been a winner with this number. So the question is: Who is the only driver to ever drive the number 58 to victory and who did he beat out for his only win? And a bonus (should be easy to find though), what was the margin of victory?

| Re: The Worst Car Number To Ever Win a Race Johnny Allen, driving Fred Lovette's #58 '61 Pontiac, beat Rex White, driving his own #4 '62 Chevy, by 6 inches in the 1962 Myers Brothers 200 at Bowman-Gray Stadium, Winston-Salem, NC on June 16, 1962. Allen pocketed $580 first prize while White took home the $500 2nd place money. Richard Petty was 4 laps back in 3rd.
