| Re: Total Trivia Time After further review, maybe Gary Nelson has the patent for one particular type of roof flap. Also read that Jack Roush had a hand in designing roof flaps as did Roger Penske. Not that this answers the question but I didn't want to throw any wrong info out there. |

| Re: Total Trivia Time I read that as well too. So I'm going to give what my answer is. The space shuttle and specifically it's breaking system. Now I don't remember if I mentioned this at the beginning but I have this whole NASCAR dvd game and that is where I'm getting the questions/answers from. I've also been trying to look up and verify the answers. I haven't been able to find this answer anywhere specifically however I did find it related to starting the development at my husband's college, Embry Riddle, here in Daytona. So the answer makes sense to me. Oh and on the game I have it gives choices (I didn't cause I wanted to make it harder

| Re: Total Trivia Time I'm going to question the NASCAR game, kerri. Back in the 1970's I believe Dan Gurney utilized a flap of sorts on his Indy cars. It was originally designed for downforce but, as I remember, they discovered that when the car was spun around it created a degree of stability by actually abruptly slowing the car. I believe it was even called a "Gurney Flap." I'll dig in my files and see if I can come up with some more info.

| Re: Total Trivia Time I was going to input Atlanta. In 1972 Bobby Allison won both races In 1973 David pearson won both races. It also happened at Bristol. In 1975 (I believe) Cale won both races and the following year Richard won them both. Also there was a period at Bristol starting in, I believe 1982, that DW won something like seven consectutive races. |

| Re: Total Trivia Time From now on so we don't just have one gigantic thread I'm going to post the trivia questions in new threads. That way they can also spark more on topic related discussion instead of going back and forth with one question to the next. |
