NEW QUESTION!! Our tickets are located in the Earnhardt section in Dover. This is going to sound stupid, but do we have to root for Earnhardt if we're sitting there?? I mean, if we don't are we going to ummm receive bodily harm from others??

Re: MBNA 400 Tickets: Advice hey!! yes, we kept the tickets. the race was awesome!! i made a point to do some race watching in the weeks prior to the game, and picked a favorite ahead of time - which just so happened to be Kenseth (WHO WON!! WOO HOO!)! i loved it, so did my boyfriend! i'm so glad i took the time out to do some "research" before we went, it made the experience that much better! we're talking about going to the dover race in september already! i've been bit by the bug... or so some friends we made this weekend phrased it. thanks for all your help!

Re: MBNA 400 Tickets: Advice well, no, but sort of (missing traffic). the people we camped next to told us that it wasn't necessary to go TOO early, so we ended up following them to the track at around noon. but we took a back road from the place we were all camping at so we didn't hit any traffic at all! we didn't tailgate because we wanted to get in there by the time we actually got there. maybe next time =) but we brought our beer in with us and definitely got drunk. something about nascar hypnotises you!! i didn't even realize i was drinking, all of a sudden i was drunk. i blame nascar haha we did walk around to all the carts/tents/i don't know what to call them, though. that was interesting. we definitely should have done that earlier, too, because most of the things were closing up since it was 1. also, i thought i had gotten tickets close to the aisle so we wouldn't have to climb out - BOY WAS I WRONG! we were DEAD CENTER of the row. oops! oh well, you live, you learn, right? Next time i'm goin for seats on turn 4, a little bit higher, and on the AISLE; oh and goin early to tailgate. most of the wrecks happened around turn 4 and we had no idea what happened until everyone started standing up and pointing, even then we couldn't see anything! everyone at the race was super nice, even though we were all squished onto that bench in such close quarters! other than that, i'm so glad i talked to you guys about it and did some other research, it was definitely worth it! and we made some buddies at our "campsite" (a farm haha) that we're hopefully gonna meet up with at the september race!

Re: MBNA 400 Tickets: Advice We live about two hours from Dover and whnever we were going for the Sunday race, we would leave at 4:00 am to get there around 6:00 am, plenty of time to tailgate, get drunk and check out the trailers, the trailers open about 6:30 - 7:00 am, sometimes drivers are out there signing autographs in the morning, even if you don't want an autograph, you can get some close pictures of them. I'm surprised that the trailers were closing up at 1:00, they are usually open after the race is over. Or were you talking about the "bootleg" tents, campers, etc.?

Re: MBNA 400 Tickets: Advice ah trailers, yes, that makes sense that that's what they're called. i'll definitely make a point to go MUCH earlier if we make it to the september race! thanks for the heads up! and no, the trailers weren't closed, but the demonstrations and anything that looked fun closed at 1. for example, army, airforce, crown royal, all those tents were closed up at 1. i guess those could be called "bootleg". who knows!
