Sit With Jimmy

If you've not heard, you can "Sit With Jimmy" at the Daytona 500.

Quote:
In response to Kenny Wallace’s recent accusation that Jimmy Spencer is out of touch with race fans, "Mr. Excitement" unveiled his own Daytona 500 ticket package at sitwithjimmy.com on Sunday’s NASCAR RaceDay at Dover, Del.

"What’s the next best thing to driving in "The Great American Race"?, quipped Jimmy Spencer. "Well, it’s sitting on the famed Daytona Superstretch with me. How’s that for keeping in touch."

NASCAR fans will have the opportunity to do just that with a special ticket package for the 49th annual Daytona 500 on Sunday, Feb. 18.

"I’m excited to share the excitement of the Daytona 500 with my friends,” Spencer said. “The Daytona Superstretch is the perfect viewing spot for NASCAR’s biggest race of the year. It’s going to be a great party."
There's 2 SitWithJimmy.com packages available.

One is the Sit With Jimmy Special. You get a ticket to the Daytona 500, Daytona USA ticket and a Sit with Jimmy Tshirt. It's $99.

2nd is the Mr Excitement Special. It's the same as the Sit With Jimmy Special but you also get a Daytona 300 ticket.

Re: Sit With Jimmy

I'm sorry but I cannot resist this. If I had paid $99 for a 500 ticket and found out that Jimmy Spencer was going to be sitting near me I might just burn the ticket to avoid the issue.

I assume you are asking why I would burn the ticket ?? I cannot stand Jimmy Spencer. He is way to full of himself. To listen to him he was/is the best NASCAR driver ever. He is a loud mouth know it all and part of a group better known as the Village Idiots. Need more reasons ?

Re: Sit With Jimmy

LOL...to each their own. You being from New England, I take it you've never seen him run in the NASCAR modifies. He was a great driver and he was a good driver in Cup. Myself, I don't make my decision about things by what the message boards favorite bashing is. Some do because they think it makes them look "cool" and in the know.

Re: Sit With Jimmy

I'm not from New England and I have seen Jimmy run modified's. He was a good driver then. I think moving up to Cup went to his head and he thinks he can be that aggresive now. I have tickets for Sit with Jimmy. Will be my first Cup race ever, and I wouldn't sell them for 4 times what I payed.

Re: Sit With Jimmy

Is that because you are sitting with Jimmy or because you're going to see a race ?

Re: Sit With Jimmy

I also have tickets to "Sit with Jimmy". I wanted to go to the race, and this option just made it a little more interesting than just going to another race. Do I expect to see "Jimmy", no. But then again I could also imagine that he just might make an appearance and possibly other drivers who are not in the race. Yeah, I'm from Pennsylvania....Jimmy's home state so he may be my homestate favorite.
I've "met" him at a few autograph signing sessions and he is a pretty gracious guy. My daughter we young at the time and he took the time to talk to them and that made them happy. so he's OK in my book!
Back to Daytona.....I can't wait until the race!!!

Re: Sit With Jimmy

Have you received your tickets. I ordered mine the beginning of October and still not received them?

Re: Sit With Jimmy

I ordered mine in November and I just received the tickets and the Sit with Jimmy T-shirts last Friday. Everything came together via the Big Brown Truck.
Did you order tickets for Sunday's race only? I did and I found it odd that I received a post card type mail offer to buy Truck race tickets at a discounted price. But the discounted offer is because it says that I have a two day pass. I don't know if it's just a gimmick or not, but I just might try to get tickets anyway. $50 for the Seagrave Tower, not bad.

Re: Sit With Jimmy

Yes, I received the tickets and the "Sit with Jimmy" T-shirt in the same package this past Friday. The package came via the BiG Brown Truck.

Re: Sit With Jimmy

I haven't gotten tickets, t-shirts, Daytona USA or none of the things I ordered. I'm starting to get a bit concerned as I have $400.00 in motel rooms booked also. I got both packages together, Busch and the 500.

Smile Re: Sit With Jimmy

Just got my tickets for Sat. & Sundays races plus Daytona USA. They got delivered by the big brown truck. Called daytona speedway this a.m. and they said my tickets were mailed in late Dec. Called when my tickets arrived to say they came and the man siad tickets weren't even printed till Jan. Guess I must have talked to an airhead. Probably smelling to much high octane petro. Feel much better now as I did not want to stand in a will-call line. Thanks for all your help pa-nascar.
