Thumbs down Gordon continues to cry

Jeff Gordon never ceases to amaze me. After the Bristol race he was crying about how Scott Riggs passed him. WHAT A PUTZ!!! Riggs dogged him lap after lap and when it was crunch time, Scott nudge the crybaby in the left corner and got inside of him and passed him. No harm, no foul...........he was FASTER and it was BRISTOL! Gordon would have done the same thing to him MANY laps earlier and would not have been so patient.
Gawd I hate double standards.

BTW, congrats to Riggs on a great race! Now, wheres that Jeff Gordon crybaby picture when you need it.

Re: Gordon continues to cry

Jeff wasnt upset with Riggs, we was upset with the fact they sucked at the end, he just toke it out on Riggs unforunatly, but theres no reason to make this thread, pointless.

Re: Gordon continues to cry

Exactly right Nevadastars. Of all people to be crying and whining after a Bristol race. Riggs showed too much patience I think, the 24 would have moved him alot earlier in the race.

Typical #8 fan
That move Scott made there could have spun Jeff out and thats not the way to pass at Bristol atleast late in the race. YOu normally lay the bumper and just make the guy ahead of a little loose, he'll drift to the top abit and you pass him on the bottom. Jeff was trying to tell that to Riggs, but his head was too large that he was running in the top 5 to listen to someone who has been in the top 5 more times than Riggs will ever have in his entire racing career. Anywho, no bad blood. We move on. Thank God Bristol is over. A solid top 5 from Cali and I think we can survive Richmond with a top 30 finish if things get too bad. Woohoo!

Re: Gordon continues to cry

Hey Dupont did you see the same race and post race interview. Sure he would have liked to have been better at the end and he did say that. But he also complained about how and where Riggs passed him. Said he was concerned about being spun out, he should have been as much as he slowed Riggs up for alot of the race. Scott was a gentlemen and raced him clean and should be commended for it. That team needed a good run. The 24 never would have raced him that way, said he should have been passed on the straightaway. Has the 24 ever moved or dumped anyone in a turn before? Let's see maybe Rusty has an answer to that question.

I respect Riggs, he was totally respectful of Jeff and I like that. I agree that Riggs was being held up and that he was really patient but what I dont agree is that Scott could have crashed Jeff after he hit him on the quarter panel, that was wrong, hit him on the back bumper (which he did) but not on the quarter panel, it was the recepe for a disaster

Bottom line is....... he DID NOT wreck him and Gordo only lost one spot. When Scott went up to him to tell him it was a good race, Jeff should have just admitted defeat and been done with it. But nooooo, he had to do the Holier-than-Thou, whiney thing he is so good at. He should have just been a man about it and moved on. He did the same thing to Rusty for a win a few years ago, but that was perfectly ok in his book. Like I said, double standards for Jeffy as usual.

Oh, and welcome to the forum DEI MIDWEST!

Scott could've but he didn't... because he knew what he was doing. He barely nudged Ol gordo which wasn't going to cause the "4 time Whiner" to wreck unless he he let it happen. Gordon should take a lesson from Riggs on properly bumpin and runnin.

Once again, Jeff wasnt upset with Riggs, Riggs just caught Jeff in a bad moment and Jeff toke it out in Riggs, Jeff was pissed with the fact they were crap in the end of the race. Jeff didnt do the same to Rusty, Jeff hit him on the bumper, not on the side of the car, BIG difference, one is shoving you car the other is turning it.

Re: Gordon continues to cry

After watching the replays after the TNT interview
"Scott Riggs had to race me really hard there to get that position. He was definitely lot better. I am just not sure why we didn't have a better car there. We were really good at one time with the DuPont Chevrolet, we drove up there and took the lead, we got tight and just could never get freed up enough. It was a great job and a great run for Scott."

got it from race2win.net

If Riggs had spun Gordon, he could've said he was hungry and he didn't mind moving him out of the way, that would've been awesome.

Eh...who cares what those types of people call Nascar fans? I'm not an ignorant redneck, I know that, and that is good enough for me.
