The Andretti's have tried and failed. .
Darn it, LSC. I just couldn't let this one slide by. While Michael doesn't compare with Mario, he comes pretty close. I, personally, wouldn't chalk that one up as a failure. The jury is still out on Marco, but... who knows.

Just a minor addition here. I believe that if you check, Hut was Bobby Allison's son-in-law. I believe that was how he got the Mane and Tail Ford ride when Bobby had them as a sponsor. I have never heard that there is a Jarrett connection. If I'm wrong on this one, mea culpa, mea culpa, maxima mea culpa.

Sorry Bob my references were made in respect to attempts in NASCAR. In the series that they do best , they get an A+ from me.

You are correct Bob. I apologize for the error. Jimmy Maker is the son-in-law of Ned. I knew there was a connection to someone but I mis-stated who it was. I'm relatively confident this wasn't the first time and even more confident it won't be the last. Just ask my wife !!!

LOL. My gosh! No apology needed. Now I feel like a doofus. I now understand your reference to the Andretti family. Mt only contention might be that IF Mario would have devoted his career to NASCAR, instead of Champ Cars and the F1 circuit, he probably would have been a champion.

As far as you mistake on Hut/Makar, look how many times I screwed up the 1st driver to lead flag-to-flag question. That was embarrassing!

Have a good day. I'll be gone for awhile...

Everyone enjoy the race tonight.

Bob
