Gracis. Eres muy amable.

I appreciate the thought but I'd wager more than one here feel the opposite.

One of these days I'm going to come out of my shell and say exactly what I think. <g>

Carl shouldn't have driven from pit road to catch Dale Jr. with blown tires either! Glad Dale was keeping an eye out he would have lost an arm! Carl is just a sore loser, but before anyone yells at me I see why he was angry but thats just racin! If he is going to ball about it he needs to go home and cry on his moms shoulder!

I realize that’s how little Tony does things but Carl isn't a spoiled little momma's boy that still lives in his parent’s house. He’s not the type to spit on, punch and kick reporters because he didn’t get his wittle way on the wace twack either.
As for Jr’s poor little hand, it’s amazing to me to see everyone bringing that up when what Jr did to Carl is exactly what killed Sr. how is Jr’s hand so much more important that Carl’s life? This is exactly why I don't shop at Home Depot.

Once again I feel I must point out that that Big E's death does not come into play here as it had many circumstances that lead to it. So what Jr did to Carl was not exactly what happened to Big E.

Re: Carl Edwards Reacts to Fine!

In the simplest terms:
Dale was bumped from behind at high speed, causing a wreck, he died.
Carl was bumped from behind at high speed, causing a wreck, he lived.

Depending on how many details we want to add from here, yes they can be two totally different scenarios. Nothing is ‘EXACTLY’ the same as something else. I agree.

This could be argued from so many standpoints.
It was Sterling, speed did it, the wall, no Hans device, E was blocking, restrictor plates, the cars aren’t safe enough, blah blah blah.

I didn’t mean to start that argument; I merely was making a point.

When you wreck someone in a stock car at high speeds, they could die. I know it’s not likely, but it happens. There are so many things that could go wrong. I just wanted to offer another perspective,.. Carl’s.
Seeing as how no one seems to care about anything but JR’s hand.

Being a fan of Edwards, I took lilsexy08’s comments a little personally perhaps. Carl never cried as she suggested, and coming from a Stewart fan just made the comments even worse. I mean, does anyone whine more than Tony Stewart? Is there a bigger hypocrite in NASCAR?

I apologize if I’ve given off the wrong impression. I’m not upset at anyone. I just got frustrated thinking that no one else see’s the other side of this. I know Carl did a stupid thing. I didn’t agree with it even being a fan of his. I do however understand how someone who was once a substitute school teacher who had to borrow transportation just to get to work and worked so hard to get where he is, could get a little emotional about his dream. He doesn’t take his chance for granted. I admire that.

Fuzzy. First let me congratulate you. From your post of yesterday (4:09PM) I thought that you were just another "drive-by" poster, who spouted out emotional verbal graffiti then disappeared back into a hole. However your above reply impressed my and you are one who obviously is willing to back up what he says by giving reason and fact.

Secondly, I don't have a dog in this fight. There are things i like and dislike about bout Carl and Jr. That said, I maintain that Carl's driving into Junior after the flag was way over the top. Yeah, I like to see drivers show they actually care about a race's outcome but that was, in my estimation (and NASCAR's, but THAT doesn't exactly say much, does it?), there was a lt better way of showing displeasure that damaging a couple cars that some bodyman, and not the drivers involved, would have to repair.

Bringing Daddy Dale's wreck into it is apples and oranges, IMNSVHO. In virtually every race someone gets tagged and spun, but tragic outcomes such as what happened to Big Dale are rare. When Dale drove Sterling into the wall at Bristol in '87 it was only a spin and when Sterlin hit Dale as he was sliding on his side at Talladega in...'98? it was a more potentially damaging wreck than the one in which he died.

IRT Tony "Still living with mommy and daddy?" I can't say if his mom and dad are under the same roof. I have read, and have no reason to not believe, that Tony did, in fact have a house near Charlotte but sold it for two reasons. One was that he wanted to live closer to his Eldora track near Greenville, OH. The other I heard reported was that he didn't exactly feel the life in Charlotte wasn't to his liking. From the disdain I see that Tony generally has for the media, I can easily believe this last. I don't feel the inference that he is still tied to his parents by some un inseparable umbilical cord is rather unfair.

Re: Carl Edwards Reacts to Fine!

Thank you Grandma and Quality!!! Don't bring up Dale's death Fuzzy no need to pick on the dead!!!!!!! You are very disrespectful!!! I lived in Indiana when I grew up as well. So what if he bought the house he grew up in! Do you have a problem with that and Hoosiers? Sorry to be very forward but that is my favorite driver! Carl needs a foo-foo and thats all that needs to be said on that!!!!!!! Dale Jr. got in on his own skills and merit not his fathers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hopefully I didn't disrespect anyone!

Ross sorry if you thought I was picking on another member but no need to bring up the dead.

Do you REALLY believe that if Junior's last name was anything but EARNHARDT, he'd be in Cup today? REALLY?

IF you actually believe that, deep in your little NASCAR-loving heart, I envy you. Maybe I have become far too cynical in my old age?

Yeah, having the Earnhardt last name really worked out well for Kerry, don't you think? They certainly put him in good equipment just because of his last name.

Re: Carl Edwards Reacts to Fine!

Thanks for the nod of respect and a logic-based response Bob. We don’t have to agree on everything in order to respect one another’s views. It looks like we do agree that Carl’s actions were, “over the top” as you put it. Carl, himself, agrees.
As for an earlier post of yours in which you felt Carl should:

“Wait until after the race then, away from the camera and media, just go up and, if you don't get verbal satisfaction, drill the supposed offender right in his brew-guzzling mouth, irregardless of who he is or how many of his crew or "posse' is around. Then stand by for retaliation.”

But to quote you from earlier within the same post, that would be: “S-T-U-P-I-D and just plain wrong!”

Once he’s had time to cool down, it’s premeditated. I don’t think I need to speculate as to what could happen to someone if they were to break a multi-million dollar competitor’s face 30 minutes after a race. He would lose much more than 20k. He’d be out on his butt,.. once out of jail.

So even logical, non-emotionally attached, reasonably mature adults can sometimes make bad calls, huh?

To address an obviously touchy subject, I never meant to disrespect Dale Sr. I in fact, did not disrespect him. Out of respect for the great Dale Sr, I’ll stop there.

"Still living with mommy and daddy?" wasn’t a quote of mine. Stewart does live in his parent’s house. Home Depot thought it would be a good idea as a matter of fact. It was just part of the humanizing effort implemented to keep a great driver in a seat. Yes, Home Depot was going to fire him. They didn’t like his tantrums either.

I’m glad you agree with me that Tony is a Momma’s boy, Bob. I respect your opinions just because of that. (I’m kidding,.. incase the sarcasm isn’t clear to other readers.) Thanks for showing respect, you’ll receive respect in turn Bob. I hope we become friends, find common ground as well as differences. Like me, I think you enjoy the debate?

Now to Lilsexy. People from Indiana (Hoosiers) need a foo-foo and that’s all that needs to be said on that. (I don’t know what I just said.)
To lilsexy & Wisconsin: Yes Jr is a better driver than Kerry. Yes, he’s good enough to race in Cup. Yes he’s better than a lot of other drivers. I don’t think however, as hard as it is to get into cup, that anyone would know his name if it wasn’t Earnhardt.

In closing, I would like to thank everyone for reading my post. Through text on the internet, you can tell little about a person. As serious as I sometimes come across, I’m more than likely cutting up or being playful. I’m not here to attach anyone’s character or disrespect any of you. I’m here to have a good time, make some friends and maybe learn something. My best friends are people I don’t agree with. I respect them however and have a great time arguing! I hope all of you can make fun of me, my opinions and post, without disliking me personally.

Tony Stewart Stinks!

OrangeFuzzyVols: I agree with your Stewart comments.

And I wanted to add also I'm a very sarcastic person and that doesn't come across well in email. I do my best to convey when I'm kidding and when I'm not. Most of the time I'm kidding. Although not with my Stewart comment.

...petition to get NASCAR to bring a Nextel Cup race to the KY Speedway?.. How would they get any traction?

Thanks for being understanding Carlab68. Why not 69? Have a great day!

Well now why would we need traction?

I could give you the ole 68 and I owe you one, but it's just the year I was born. BORING! *yawn*

You have a great day too!
