The Craftsman Truck Series returns to Bristol this week and it should be very interesting to see how the media handles Erin Crocker in light of the allegations made in the Mayfield/Evernham court documents that were released earlier last week. Perhaps even more interesting may be how Crocker handles the media.


Is the outing of the "personal relationship" between Evernham and Crocker going to doom her entire racing career, raising doubts about her validity as a NASCAR driver in a high-profile team? Or will the "relationship" actually make Crocker more famous in the eyes of a gossip-hungry public?
One thing's for sure. Crocker will be a popular topic for the media come Wednesday at the Tennessee bullring.

Her greatest chance of spoiling a nasty story will just be as simple as winning some races. If she has what it takes to be a winner then bring it on. If she doesn't then let the chips fall where they may.

She was supposed to do some Bush races this year I guess Nascar changed their minds on that one! I'll give her this. She is a good driver for ARCA and Truck but she does wreck quite a bit-most of the time its her fault or she just gets loose! As far as making it in Nascar I don't think she has what it takes-maybe when she gets more time under her belt, who knows.

I think the entire thing will be bad for Erin's driving career. And from what I saw of her driving at the Milwaukee race (in person), I wasn't too impressed anyways.

If I recall correctly Erin is the one who backed it into the wall in turn 4 during qualifying at Milwaukee.

how well did jeff gordon do whwn he first started in the busch series with bill davis, did he get a win.
I remember seeing him run the dover busch race in 91. with the baby ruth car. he didn't seem to setb the world on fire.

and with erin being a female I'm sure she isn't given the breaks and extra room on the track.
also how well did tony stewart do in the busch series driving the 44 shell car ?

Maybe it was because she was a woman who was given more attention than what she deserved-trying to make her part of the diversity thing they keep trying to promote. I know drivers who are alot better than her. In the lower ranks that are a he** of alot better than drivers who hardly get the attention they deserve. Erin doesn't deserve the attention she gets!
