GET THE HOTEL!!! It may cost you $225-$250 per nite, maybe less if you stay near the airport..but you will be glad you did when your tired butt hits the pillow. Also I don't know if you have ever been to Atlanta but it is a BIG town.....leave enough time not to miss the flight back.
Oh yeah....take lots of money for spending at the track....it's more fun that way...and Have FUN
