Colorado National Speedway is like an hour away for me but I'm trying to go see a race there because they might close it in a couple years!

Sadly, my local, or almost local, tracks are gone ... except Loudon. But I did go to Loudon before it became what it is today.

Modifieds, Superstocks, Street Stocks, BGN, and the like were my first introduction. Massachusetts, Connecticut, etc. Riverside Park, Stafford Springs, among others that I can't remember. Most of them way off the beaten path.

I sure wish I could hop in my car on a Friday or Saturday and go back to those days. Good Times!

he and I were in the navy together at different times and, surprisingly, also attended navy tech school in millington - again at different times. since I'm the more senior (yearwise) I got there first.

Hell, I even went to the "drags" in Epping, NH. Actually, I was "dragged" there. Didn't like it all that much! This was in the 70's, but man those cars were fast. Too loud though ... messed with my heart rate.

Funny ... I can't even remember the names of the tracks! Damn! It s*cks to get old!
