Talk about anything thread!

I feel we should have a thread that you can talk about any driver and to express your feelings about it! Doesn't matter if you like the driver or not! I'll start! I LOVE TONY STEWART! Of course everyone knows that!

Re: Talk about anything thread!

I know that was my exboyfriends favorite driver (senior). We had a german shepard named Duke and when he died he buried him out back with his Dale Earnhardt Sr. flag-the only one he had. The german shepard died 2 days later after Earnhardt Sr. Stewie is acting like Dale Sr. alot. But Dale ranks second for me. First place it would be Richard Petty.

Re: Talk about anything thread!

While I agree that Tony has many similar attributes of Dale Sr., I don't feel comfortable with saying that he is "Like" Dale...Tony is definately an individual and demonstrates those individualistic traits on and off the track. Tony is extremely talented and has also demonstrated the ability to see around the next turn and size-up the other drivers...to damn near 'intimidate' like the 'Master' did...however, Dale was a lot more subtle about it...he invented (or at least perfected) the bump and run (which was also made popular by the Oakland Raiders of old) and was able to dump a driver without incurring the wrath of the NASCAR family. Dale could read the wind...Tony also shows signs of being able to sneak up on that talent...both have (had) that certain delightful , playful and boyish gleam in their eye that denoted an impish complexity within...which foretold the need of other drivers to keep clear if possible. You hit Tony or Dale with your car, you can put money on it that you were going to get something in return...generally a bit more that you gave...that's racing!
Is Tony just like Dale? No, but he is the closest driver we have that reminds us why we love the sport...he is not milk-toast, he is not gonna roll over and play dead and he is going to love that checkered flag win more than any other driver on the circuit...and you are going to get goose pimples along with him....he continues to reflect the epitome' of the racing game in spite of the crap that the Franch family is trying to dish out.

You just can't (Brian) tell the drivers to go out and give 'em hell, race to win and put on a good show while warning them to play nice and don't throw sand in anyone's face....can't do this sport both ways and have fun!

Re: Talk about anything thread!

oops...forget to ask: Lilsexy08; where is that picture of y'all that we have been waiting for? And; why would you bury the #3 flag when you could fly it out front and remind everyone who remains the best damn driver on the asphalt? I just don't get that part.

When I was fortunate enough to have gone halibut fishing with Dale Sr in Homer, Alaska, that was the first time I have every seen a 38 foot fishing boat plane in Cook Inlet...the owner let Dale at the helm and was getting mighty nervous til Childress convinced the owner that he would pay for the whole boat if anything broke....(you know, the boat captain did not even know who Dale Sr was at first!,,Go figger!) that was in June of 1995...great time and in my memory bank forever...

Now, about that pic....

Re: Talk about anything thread!

What pic? Are you referring to the cutest pit lizard thing? If I send a pix it will be one sent to you in pvt. message! That was my exboyfriends idea about the flag. Dale was his hero I guess you could say and Duke or german shepard was his baby so it was only fitting at the time.

Re: Talk about anything thread!

Of course I was talking about the pit lizard thing...have not ever been to a really for-real NASCAR race as was stuck in Alaska for 23 years and they don't have a race track up there yet...the perma frost keeps breaking up the infield...(that was a joke).

Don't even know what a pit lizard really is...sounds cold and dank...

Re: Talk about anything thread!

I got the pit lizard name when they did an interview with Kyle Busch who I can't stand! They mentined women in the pits and he referred to them as pit lizards-wanting to sleep with the drivers. Well I like Tony Stewart now so thats how I came up with the name! I was actually going to put Tonys Lizard but shortened on my license plate, but I didn't! I've been to Michigan 4 times, Talladega 1, Daytona 500 1. Never want to go back to Dayotna a man died befroe the race! I still remember what he had one and what he looked like it was back in 2003Feb.

Talk about any driver, good or bad? Well, time to go on a bad tangent. I will talk about a group of drivers, spefically four. JJ, JG, KuB and KyB. These four drivers have to be the most obnoxious drivers it has been my sorry pleasure to watch. Talk about stuck-up, whinny, no good so and sos. I just can't stand them. It makes my blood curl to see them doing good. Can't say anymore, otherwise Ross would "kick my butt" for violating rules.

Man, if that's the case and your blood "curls" then your blood must be downright afroed.

Re: Talk about anything thread!

Ok, since we're ranting, now it's my turn...
Let me start with Jeff Burton, talk about whiney and too big for his britches, this guy talks like a repeat champ and chokes like a repeat chump. how many times has his team set him up for a win and he ends up blowing it? Matt Kenseth, don't get me wrong I like him, but that radio transmission after Gordon spun him keeps stomping through my brain when he said something like "If NASCAR has any consistency at all they'll black flag him." WHAT? I don't seem to recall Matty being black flagged for what seemed to be a more aggressive move when he spun Gordo. He just sounded like a little kid that dropped his ice cream. Last but not least... Eh, never mind Tony's too easy.

Don't expect it back too soon, my girlfriend bought the Tony Stewart Monte Carlo, and sent in the dashboard to be signed, long story short it took 9 weeks. So hopefully you own more shirts cuz you're probably going to have to go topless otherwise.
