I would have to concur with TN on this one. You folks have seemed to accept that Your a fan of a driver that is hated no matter what, and you still stay by his side and defend him and your position. You all deserve a tip of the hat... or glass

Re: Is Tony Stewart self-destructing?

No, Tony's not self destructing. He's frustrated. And I'm not his Mommy (although I would like to be) so I can't control what he does on the track.

Did any of you watch the interview after the race? Also...he just lost control of his car after taking his left hand off of the steering wheel to shake his hand at the 07. It veered to the left because he didn't have both hands on the wheel.

I love you, Smoke!

Re: Is Tony Stewart self-destructing?

Yes. It's good to see Tony's doing all that charity work, it might be enough to keep him out of hell for his driving.

I disagree with that statement only because I think NA$CAR is beginning to see the WWF mentality seep into the series. Now if they would only make the penalties more equal to the offense things might calm down a bit.

Re: Is Tony Stewart self-destructing?

I've noticed that more people are comparing Tony to Dale Sr. and to be honest I think that is just a way for people (NASCAR payrollees) to excuse his poor judgement and rotten temper. Dale usually exacted revenge on guys that deserved it, Tony wrecks guys that take a little air off his bumper, or don't pull onto the apron because TONY'S COMING!!!!

Yeah, but did you see what Carl did on pit road? He spun Tony out, but he also got black flagged. I think their just trying to let the other drivers know not to mess with them.

I felt sorry for Opie the flipper, but he has done the same so many times and with a big smile, said I'm sorry, I shouldn't of done that. He really deserves a little pay back.

Re: Is Tony Stewart self-destructing?

Just read this by DW

"The young drivers don't make any more mistakes than the old drivers do. It's pretty much 50/50, but the old guys seem to complain about it the more. The young drivers respect what the older drivers say, but they don't have a whole lot of respect for what they might do."
