| This past Thursday on Jimmy Johnson's XM radio show, he had Jeff Gordon as his guest. Gordon stated that he had dumped Kenseth on purpose and as retaliation for when Kenseth dumped him. In the past NASCAR has nailed drivers for comments/confessions made after an event, shouldn't Jeffy be called to task for this?? His arrogrance (and Jimmies) was discusting. He was proud of what he did and said he would do it again. Jimmy backed him up 100%. This wasn't "just racing" as Jeffy said in the post race interviews. On Johnson's show he said it was intentional and he "wasn't stupid" he wasn't going to retaliate the next race, where it would be obvious that that was what he was doing. He also stated that he intended to race this way from here on out. So what Jeffy, are we suppose to stop the season and just declare you champion? Get over yourself!

But hey pissypat, welcome to the forum. You'll fit right in since Gordon haters outnumber the lovers by about 10:1. |

| Re: Jimmy on XM--Anybody else hear this? Most over-exaggerated?! Nooooo, that's what Jeffy said. He did say that he wrecked him on purpose. Last edited by rmjvol : 07-23-2006 at 07:55 PM. Reason: please read forum rule #2; you can disagree without making it personal |

| Re: Jimmy on XM--Anybody else hear this? I believe Jeff said something to the effect that he and Matt are clean but the ball is in Matt's court now and if he felt the need to retaliate against Jeff, then Matt wasn't going to win anymore championships. Thats basically it. |

| Re: Jimmy on XM--Anybody else hear this? I have not heard anybody else post that they heard this supposed interview. But even if some version of it is true, I still don't get the origin of the Gordon haters out there. (Yes I am one of the 1 in 10 who is a #24 fan on this forum) 'Cause lets face it, did anyone in Nascar history ever knock more people out of the way, TELL them he was going to knock them out of the way, call people idiots, or whatever other badboy type stuff than THE Earnhardt himself? What makes Gordon so different in your eyes? (Other than the fact that he ain't from the South). Just curious. |

Hey Dupont, I didn't write this to start a fight, I was asking a question. I did hear what Jeff said. Bringing up Earnhardt Sr is beside the point, he's gone now, but when he was racing, I agree, he made no bones about it, and when all was said and done, he owned up to it. There was no whining, and trying to put the blame somewhere else. And as for Stewart, yes he acted like a Jerk, but again that's beside the point. This topic was about Jeff Gordon. I just wanted to know if anybody else heard it and felt the same way I did about Nascars inconsistant application of the rules. |
