There was no whining, and trying to put the blame somewhere else. And as for Stewart, yes he acted like a Jerk, but again that's beside the point. This topic was about Jeff Gordon. I just wanted to know if anybody else heard it and felt the same way I did about Nascars inconsistant application of the rules.
OOOHHH, we'll not everyone's like Earnhardt Sr., Jeff said he toke full responsability for what happened at Chicagoland and I thought that was enough.

Hey, I understand if you're a Gordon fan, I find him a little obnoxious at times, but I can handle him over Jimmy Johnson. Gordon is a fantastic racer, I won't take that away from him, but the one thing that bothers me is his attitude of being above it all. I truthfully hate to hear a grown person whine about something they did, and place the blame on others or something else, such as Stewart did today. He was a real disappointment as far as I'm concern.

Junior talked about it on his radio show the week before last and stated, "that that was just racing, and what Gordon needs to do is say I wanted to win and I did whatever it took to win and let it go and move on and don't talk about it anymore". But unfortunately he keeps on talking about it.

My concern is how Nascar handles the different races.

I for one, don't ever remember Earnhardt calling anyone an idiot or telling people he is going to wreck them, and I followed him since the mid 80's. Not saying he did not, but I sure never saw that side of him. If he got wrecked, he usually said, "that's racin'", and moved on. He would always warn someone with a couple of bumps, and if they didnt move, then he would move them. Gordon just drives right through them with no warning......that is a BIG difference between their driving styles.

Also, when Gordon gets wrecked, he just whines and whines about how guys like that shouldnt be on the track, or Nascar should do something about it, blah, blah, blah. He is the biggest hypocrite out there, and is a 'do as I say, not as I do' guy. Tony is becoming the same way, and that's sad because I am/was a big Stewart fan.

Never gave it much thought before, but yes. He's only 49, sure is wrinkled, guess all that heat every week is rough on the skin.

He's only 49! He looks older than that. I would've thought that he'd be in his mid 50's.

One of my cousins said he was an aclolholic at one time, if that's true, that would explain the aging appearance.

Re: Jimmy on XM--Anybody else hear this?

Have no idea about the alcohol thing with Martin, but I thought of maybe another reason he looks like he does. Given all the Cup races and Busch races, and Truck races he has run, he has probably been scared to death many more times than the rest of the drivers out there. On this note, I know it would not be an official record, but does anyone know who is the all time leader in combined starts (Busch and Cup?). I don't know, but I would think Martin would have to be close to the top.
