David Gilliland to the 38?

There was mention on TV that David Gilliland has been offered the seat of the M&M's 38 team for the 2007 season. I'm sure if he's been offered he'll take it in a heartbeat. Assuming this isn't a rumor...what ya think?

He's shown he can drive a car, but what a huge step this would be for him.

As usual Jimmy Spencer cannot even pronounce his name correctly. Gilliland stated that there are a few teams wooing him at the moment. With all the changes occurring this year he can probably be selective.

I really like Gilliland, i think he is a very good driver, but i think he might have some trouble if he jumps to cup this soon. But i would like to see him in the 38. I dont think Elliot is a very good driver and he just needs to retire just like Jarrett.

Elliot is a good driver. He just needs the right setup like the rest of them do to win. He proved that before.... of course... Parrott was his crew chief. Jarrett just needs a change of venue like Jeff Burton did. I think(and hope) it will be good for him. Then again you never know.

Re: David Gilliland to the 38?

I agree with Gilliland not going to Cup yet. He's proven he can win in the Busch series and he manages to do alot with an underfunded team. Lets see what he can do for a whole year in Busch with "top notch" team, for example RCR. Then have him move up. I really enjoyed watching him get that first win.
