As far as Country Music, I am a hard rocker at heart, and have been my whole life. Although I do like most of the classic country from the 50s/60s. In fact my recent move to rural Nevada from California has given me a new light on country music. There is an AM station (KHWG The Hog) here that my co-worker players and it is very similar in content to the link TN_Gal provided. I find it enjoyable and upbeat. Honestly, I can't stand the newer country stuff. Given a choice, my favorite music is 80s Metal. ![]() Thanks for the link TN_Gal, right now Tennessee Houndog is playing.

My musical interests range from one extreme to another. I like some country, but no lying, dying crying in my beer songs. I like some hip hop/dance. Can't forget the reagge or the disco!!! I like most metal and thrash, soft rock, hard rock, alternative/punk and I'm a big 80's head. I love all kinds of music, just have to be in that frame of mind, like if I want to listen to dance music, country just isn't gonna cut it, etc.. My all time favorite group is INXS, before Hutch died. Closely followed by Charlie Sexton, Adam Ant, U2, The Cure, Metallica and lately Korn just to mention a few in this post. My all time favorite song is IF by bread, but I really like Freak on a leash by Korn, as said my musical love is from end of the spectrum to the other. I'm really motivated by music, I'd just as soon listen to music then turn on the t.v. any day. |

| Re: OT: Nascar fans and music I am all over the place with what I like too. I do like some of the newer country music, just not the "pop" country. I like most of what has been already mentioned. Some I like but did not see are Brooks & Dunn, Sarah Evans, Pat Greene. Kenny Chesney, Montgomery Gentry, Tim McGraw, and Deana Carter. I also like all types of rock music. 80's 1st wave alternative and 80's "Hair Bands". I also like bands like Foreiner, The Cars, Boston, Brian Adams (the old stuff), 38 Special, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes just to name a few. I also love the 70's funk and soul stuff like Earth wind and Fire, etc. I also like all types of Jazz music. But my all time favorite is The Boss, Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band. Especially the albums pre-Born in the USA. |
