Re: Jamie McMurray

I don't think (until proven wrong by facts) that ANY of the relatively well known drivers who made moves have lived up to the performance of their previous rides this year so far. (With the very notable exception of the #31 Burton)

Mikey Waltrip (Need some DEI parts on that NAPA #55!)

Kurt Busch (Better drink lots of that Miller lite!)

Jamie McMurray (already talked about, better drink some Crown Royal or inhale a Sharpie!)

Bobby Labonte (get some STP, maybe you can slide back to Gibbs!)

Come on nailhead... no one expected Bobby to immediatley turn it around at the Petty organization..... They are actually doing better than expected... they have had quite a few races where they was strong, but just got the bad end of the stick.

I agree. I think Bobby saw the handwriting on the wall (Youth Movement) and when he saw a chance to go to an organization which had both Robby Loomis AND Todd Parrott in it...Well, it was an offer you just couldn't refuse.

Bobby'll hopefully do the same thing with Petty that Jeff Burton has done with RCR. Petty finally has leadership and not a bunch of whiny, self absorbed wannabes fighting for stardom. (Can YOU say "Jeff Green?")

Can't argue that at all. Especially Jeff "jacka$$" Green.

Re: Jamie McMurray

Puleeze! As a lifelong Jeff Gordon fan, I think I speak for a great majority when I say Bobby can have Robbie Loomis. How MANY races last year did the #24 and #48 start out with roughly equal cars, both Hendricks products, and by race's end the 48 was moving forward, and the 24 was in reverse. "We just couldn't get a handle on the track conditions" became almost the team motto. I put the major blame for that squarely on .. Robbie Loomis-Crew Chief. Much as I DISlike Chad Knauss, the 48 gets wrenched on in the pits and winds up competitive day in and day out at race end. While I am not yet convinced that Steve the Tart is the answer, at least the team is showing signs of life this year, and the only real difference is no more Robbie Loomis.

Like I am always saying, Gordon is just so-so without Evernham. If it aint on a road course, he needs to knock 'em out of the way to win without Ray.

The answer for Jeff is Ray Evernham. It was a bad Idea for Ray to ever end that.

Give Ray a couple more years and you may have to eat those words. It wasn't that long ago that Jack Rousch couldn't win a race if he had the only cars in the race.

Yeah Robbie Loomis helped get Jeffy his Fourth and your going to bad mouth him for a bad year ..... yeah.... and I have to agree with everyone else, jeff ain't nothin without ol ray. Besides, the 43 has been stronger ( for the most part) since taking on key players... IE Loomis.

At the same time Evernham isn't stealing the championship either.

No, he's just stealing little girl's hearts. Erin for instance. Sorry couldn't pass that one up!

No on both counts, sorry to disappoint you, LSC! Considering Ray's old enough to be her dad or possibly grandad, it's kind of disgusting...if it's true. Rumor has it that some drivers know about it.
