Pennsylvania 500 Discussion

Let's hear what you guys have to say about the upcoming Pennsylvania500 race. The Pennsylvania 500 NASCAR race will be held at Pocono Raceway in Long Pond, PA on July 23.

Also, make your race predictions in the official race prediction thread. We have a weekly contest to see who can pick the winners.

Use this thread to discuss the race, why there's no title sponsor, past Pocono Raceway NASCAR races in Long Pond, Penn and anything else about the upcoming Pennsylvania 500 race.

GO JEFF! I'd like to see Ryan Newman have a good finish as well.

I agree with the go Jeff part, but Newman is on Tony's radar now, and he knows how to get away with one. I'm not saying a cheap shot, but a "racing incident."

Do I smell A new rivalry? 2 Indiana boys going at it. And another Indiana boy going for the win!

Re: Pennsylvania 500 Discussion

I never liked Pocono too much. I say take one race from Pocono and give it back to a track like Rockingham. I loved Rockingham races. Sorry to see it go out to pasture like North Wilkesboro.

Re: Pennsylvania 500 Discussion

Geez werent we at Pocono like 2 weeks ago, god that was fast. Anyways aslong as Jeff doesnt have another brutal furosious crash like he had in the last race I would be happy just leaving the track un-scaved.

Re: Pennsylvania 500 Discussion

Im sort of a newbie to nascar(2 yrs), but i'm going to this race. Just got the tickets today. Anyone ever been to this track? I got terrace tickets, all that was left besides terrace vista but they were all the way at the end. I figured the terrace seats were right at the finish line so they would be better. Just wondering if anyone been there and if their is any tips to keep in mind. Thanks

Welcome to GoTeamsGo, scarface.

Not sure if anybody's been to that track but I won't be surprised if you get some help here.

Look forward to chatting with you.

Hi Scarface,

My parents live about 10 miles from the track. I have never been to a race there but I do know this....it is gonna be friggin hot. The June race is better weather wise, the July one is a killer. I am guessing you are from PA? Where? I used to live in Lansdale.

Have fun and drink your . Who are you rooting for?

Re: Pennsylvania 500 Discussion

i live in north jersey, was there today to see if i could get in to see the seats i was gonna get and see if they were any good but they wouldn't allow it. I got into nascar by a couple telling me at a my parttime job saying ...did anyone ever tell you who u like exactly like? I said who....they said DJ. I was like huhhh. They said dale jr, i said who the heck is he. Then they said earnhardt then i knew they were talkin about nascar so got into watching it. I don't look like him much now because i got scars on the face, but after that i had a few ppl tell me that. They were big nascar fans, had all the gear on. They said, dude you could go into the pits with sunglasses and a red cap and i bet you would get autographs. I was like...damn i should . But anyways hopefully it won't be as hot as today or tomorrow, don't feel like sitting in that sun in 100 degrees.

Thanks for the welcome btw.
