I asked TN-GAL and i'm want to know your opinion too. Do you think Tony has any chance at all of winning the championship? You all know that DALE SR is my most favorite driver of all time, and Tony is the only driver out there that reminds me of him. It would be a shame if Newman ruined his chances.

I hope your right. I'm not in any way saying that he can't do it I know he can he's the best driver out there. Yes I still love DALE JR, but Tony reminds me more of DALE SR then JR.
I would love to see Tony get revenge but I know now the way the rules are he can't retalliate [I hope I spelled that right]. Anyway you know what I mean.

You have a point, but Newman was a lap down there was no way he was goin win so why not let Tony pass?

Gosh. I really enjoy hearing the voice of reason in a sea of turmoil.

Excellent observation on the situation, Smoke. The only thing I see differently is that: you see them as hypocrites; I see them on many ocassions, as whiny, self-important prima donas.

Hi bob, well, I don't really see them as hypocrites, I was just answering the thread title. I think it just depends which end they are on, the spinner or the spinnee.

Hi Lady3, all very good points, I agree! And YES YES YES, I still think Smoke can win the championship. If he would quit having all this bad luck. I think he will be in the top 10 no question and contend for the championship. He always comes on strong the last half of the season!

Ask Gordon about the rules of retaliation.
Smoke knows how to get payback, look at what he did to Kenseth

I'd say he has as good of a chance as anyone. Take away some of his misfortune he's right there with JJ and Matt. Saying that, he's been his own worst enemy at times.

Re: No-neck vs. hypocrite, most rescent rivalry

Keep in mind that winning the championship at this point in time is still secondary. One needs to get into the chase first. Tony is definitely within reach.
