I don't think NASCAR "fixes" the races, i.e.; making sure a particular driver wins. However...
The "debris cautions," the "lucky dog" rule, the "NASCARmobile," vice running a stock car... to me, all that goes a long way toward an orchestrated, artificial drama-type of racing. Speaking only for myself, I DO NOT LIKE IT!

Top give an example, but the kid who does the evening NASCAR show on XM, was raving how great a race the "Expanded Paper Clip 300" Sunday was because "Of the drama over who was and who wasn't going to run out of fuel..."
Maybe it's just the curmudgeon in me but I, personally, don't watch a race for "Drama." If I want drama I'll go to blockbuster and rent Citizen Caine, or pick up a tome of Shakespere...I watch racing to see racing!
Watching racing for drama is like watching paint dry to appreciate colours. You get the result but I question the validity of the mode.
CTS is everything that is good in NASCAR. Tough driving for sure. Not only that, it's the only series that can make a race at Daytona or Talledega. Awesome racing.
