Re: Did Gordon intentionally Spin Kenseth? Hell yes it was intentional, Gordon completely admitted to it in his interview from "victory" lane when he said he jumped back in the gas real hard and I suppose it was a coincidence that he hit Matt on the inside corner at just the right moment to make him spin too.

Re: Did Gordon intentionally Spin Kenseth? And I hope CHI-TOWN uses glass instead of plastic when they decide to "mob" him. Gordan should be shot for what he did today. That was totally uncalled for. If he would have squared up and bumped Kenseth in the rear, I would have thought differently. But, hitting the 17 on the left-rear corner was nothing but a blatent "pitman move" to spin Kenseth out giving Gordan the win and Johnson the points lead back. If Nascar officials can't see this, they're just as wrong as Gordan is in this situation. And Nascar was speaking of stricter rules when talking about cheating before the race started. LMFAOOOOOOOO. They need to be looking at what happened at the end of this race!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Did Gordon intentionally Spin Kenseth? I was just wondering if anyone noticed the block he put on Gordon right as they were coming into the turn under Mears. At 2 mph faster than Kennseth he did slow down or they would have wrecked right there. I know Gordon should have just eased into the gas knowing he was so much faster and passed him on the straight away but I wasn't in the car I was sitting in my chair at home with no decisions to make.

Very good points 9! I didn't even think of his own car keeping the points lead! That makes me even madder! But hey, welcome to the forum, you're going to fit right in!!! |

Re: Did Gordon intentionally Spin Kenseth? I'm not saying he shouldn't block and I don't agree with anyone spinning someone out ( even though both did it) but I find it hard to believe that with the kind of luck Gordon has been having at some of these races that by spinning someone out and taking the chance that they don't hit him, would benefit him. Or is everyone saying that Gordon is so good that he can tell exactly were a car is going to spin at almost 200mph.

Re: Did Gordon intentionally Spin Kenseth? Matt knew Gordon was faster... Gordon knew he was faster too so why would he take Matt out unless it was to put #48 car back in the points lead. There wasn't any call to do that and that's why I' so cheez'd at Gordon. He had plenty of time to make a clean pass but didn't and that's at least got to raise the question of why he really spun Matt. Then NASCAR doesn't do anything (gasp I'm shocked) and the announcers (such as they are) play it down like it was Matt's fault or something for being infront of Gordon. And NASCAR wonders why fans talk about things like the "call".

Re: Did Gordon intentionally Spin Kenseth? Well, number one.....by spinning 17 out, he had a few things to gain. 1- Getting the win 2- keeping Johnson in the lead for points 3- money for the win 4- one more track he can say he's won at. Also, everyone knows that if you "bump" someone on one of the rear corners (preferrably the left one since the car's force is going outward in a turn) going at 200mph.....this will definitely cause the car to go sideways or spin out. Gordan seen the chance and took it. If you were following with TrackPass.....he didn't hit the brakes at all. It was full acceleration. The point is he cheated to win and all fingers are pointing at him. "Rubbing is racing" but bumping someone out of the way in a turn to spin them out is cheating to win.
