I want to see less drivers eligable because a drive who has had a mediocre season could break into the top 10 just before the chase. A driver who may not be completely deserving could end up winning the title. Or just go back to the way it was

I agree, but also change the points structure. When only 5 points separate 1st and 2nd, where's the drive to win? I think Nascar should be more like F1. No points for being out of the say, top 15 or 20, and big points for winning with a significant drop down the ladder from there. Get rid of the "bonus" points for leading a lap. That is just stupid, especially when guys pit late just for that reason. There are too many easy points in Cup. Make it so that winning is key to Championships..........not riding around getting top 10's. My 2 cents.

through out the year the winner should get at least a 20pt bonus.
the chase is here to stay you should just get used to it.
that said, a road couse in the chase and not a current one.
make daytona the season finally.
an d add some more short tracks.


maybe they should rotate the 2nd dates of the tracks with 2 dates , say five 2nd dates go into a rotation to new track with out any date. no more 2nd dates for any new tracks, but the ones with current 2nd's will keep a solid first date and a ratation date, no more then three years in a row with a 2nd date.

I agree the Chase is here to stay and since I didn't follow closely untill 2004, I like the chase and have almost figured out whats going on. I would like to see points given for the pole winner not only because my guy get some,but I think it would level the field for some of the owners that are not in the top 35. That is more team would go for the pole set up other then those that have to quailify. I also think the race winner should get more points. There are too many drivers in the chase that have not won a race. If your not a winner how can you be going for a championship? Just because you stayed out of trouble and managed to finish in the top ten or twenty. Otherwise leave it alone, if your not performing, you don't make the chase no matter who you are.

Unfortunately I will have to agree with you G-ma. The only reason they are talking change is cause that idiot 24 and Jr didn't get into the chase. Tell me there isn't any favortism played.
