WOOOOOOO!!! USA USA USA!!!! er... anyway. Im Suprised the Mustang wasnt a part of that. Even non Ford people seem to like the Mustang. And the E series? I thought those were cargo vans and the chasis they use for the Ford Ambulance. And also there will be plenty of time to toss a few back this weekend ![]() |

The noses will be slightly different, but will still have to conform to Nascar specs. With the Car of Tommorow, THAT won't even be a factor. Without the factorys being real factors anymore, I root for the drivers and teams and could really care less what decal is on their hood. I was a diehard Chevy fan back in the 80s when I first got into Winston Cup. Back then, there were big differences between the different makes. Unfortunately, these aint the old days anymore. The chassis, bodys, suspension, transmissions and rear ends are all built by the same people. Like I said, you will basically be cheering for a hood emblem. Nascar has changed, it's tough, but i am trying my darndest to change with it. Smoke, I'm curious if you would still be a Tony Stewart fan if he decided to run with the Red Bull team next year. | Re: The All American Car For me personally it is more than just the name Toyota. Everything you've said is probably correct. Correct for you isn't necessarily OK for me or the next person. In my case I add economics, politics and less important factors into my reason to not like the fact they are invading the ranks of the great American race. Change is always difficult for some and I believe there are many here that are not dealing well with this particular change. I've never been a Dale Jarrett hater and I won't be a hater now but I will be less of a fan when he makes the change. As you can see with Waltrips success this year he isn't that great of a driver. DEI made him successful. Toyota is now seeing exactly what they are getting. Just as you can't understand the disgust of some, we can't understand the ease with which some accept the change. All in all I'm OK with the opposing opinion. |
