I just found out something this morning that probably most of you know but completely escaped me. If any of you are as ill-informed as I on this topic, I'll share:

Chad McCumbee, the kid who is currently tearing up equipment in the CTS played the part of Dale Jr. in the made-for-TV-movie, "3." I swear, I have NEVER heard any of the NASCAR TV shills mention this and I think it warrents a consideration.

I watched the movie and I thought it was enjoyable, even though they took a whole lot of artistic license in the writing. It was eons better than "Days of Thunder." The biggest problem I personally had was the casting of Ralph Earnhardt. J.K. Simmons did a very ggod job but I couldn't get his part as Vern Schlinger in HBO's "OZ," out of my imnd. ("OZ" was one of the sickest dramtic shows since "The Pee Wee Herman Show." I hope I'm the only one in this forum who watched it regularly.)

Anyway, NASCAR has a bonefide Hollywood stuntman driving (Stanton Barrett), nowI guess they have an bonefide actor, too.

Just thought I'd share...

Oz was a great tv show, I loved that show. Wish it was still on, I might subscribe to HBO if it was! "3" was ok, I don't really remember much about it but I didn't know that about Chad. thanx for the info! I like Stanton Barrett too.

I got hooked on OZ early on in the series. One had to have an amazingly amount of tolerance to watch more than a single episode. It was a good training ground for the Law & Order series' though. Keller and the Priest are regulars on SVU, and Schilinger was the pysch before the priest took over. O'Rielly was Keller's partner before Ice T came on. About the only one I haven't see is Sister Mike and she (Rita Moreno) died just recently.

OK, OK folks..Back to NASCAR.
