Says Harvick, "I was trying to take the air off him..." B.S.! You don't take the air off someone by banging them in the left rear bumper, you're trying to spin them! Again, atta boy, J.J> You're my hero of the weekend! I was really happy to see Paul Menard win one.

Thank you for the perfect definition of Harvick! I have racked my brain to come up with the perfect word to describe him and you nailed it! B-U-L-L-Y! He comes across like a snide, smart-assed bully! Thank you Grandma, it was right in front of me all the time and I needed you to give it a word. BULLY...yep, yhat's our Kevin. |

| Re: BGN at Milwaukee...WOW! I liked Kevin Harvick when he first replaced the late great Dale Earnhardt. But since then, he has displayed an arrogance that is intolerable to me, especially in the Busch and Truck series. He shows up at the "Junior Varisty" level with top shelf equipment and acts like he is god. Instead of maturing as a veteran driver, he is becoming more of punk each year. He made a total idiot out of himself last night. I doubt Yeley intentionally spun Harvick...........but I sure cheered when he did! These Cup drivers that show up at Busch races and whoop on the lower funded teams really irk me. I guess if they can't win many Cup races or the Championship, they gotta build their egos up in other ways. Last edited by Nevadastars : 06-25-2006 at 02:08 PM. |

| Re: BGN at Milwaukee...WOW! 2 weeks in a row, Cup drivers don't win!!! Yeaaaaahhhhhh. Menard, I couldn't believe that save after Harvick tried to bump him out of the way. Good job Paul! "Took him 84 starts to win a race". Well, tv guys, that's because of all the Cup guys winning and taking wins away, duhhhh. I laughed when Harvick got spun too! And I too don't get what Harvick was doing after the race. He was just mad that he didn't win, and after flying all those miles too! Well, stay at the Cup race where you belong. Awesome race at the end!

| Re: BGN at Milwaukee...WOW! With all the crap this weekend I forgot about this: will anyone ever beat the record James Hylton set Saturday in Milwaukee? For those of you that missed Saturday night's Busch Series event, you truly missed NASCAR history. Come to think of it, even if you watched the race, you may have missed it. James Hylton became the oldest driver to take the green flag in one of NASCAR's top three series. He's two months shy of his 71st birthday. That's not a typo. And people went nuts when Roger Clemens came back last week. Heck, Hank Aaron is only 72. Hylton finished third in the Cup Series in 1975 -- without a win -- while sponsored by Rumple Furniture Company -- which Google says is still in business, by the way. Meanwhile, I was just starting elementary school. Sure, Hylton finished last in Saturday's race after completing just four laps, but in the process he may have written his name permanently in the NASCAR record books. Well done. |

| Re: BGN at Milwaukee...WOW! Posted on Wed, Jun. 28, 2006 ![]() ![]() Harvick shadowed by Hamlin By JIM UTTER The Charlotte Observer It appears everywhere Kevin Harvick looks these days, Denny Hamlin isn’t far behind. In the Nextel Cup Series, Harvick is 10th in points, with Hamlin just nine behind him in 11th. In the Busch Series, Hamlin trails by a far larger points difference – 344 – but is second in the standings behind leader Harvick entering Friday night’s Winn-Dixie 250 at Daytona Beach (Fla.) International Speedway (7:30 p.m. Eastern, FX). Harvick has had the upper hand in the series’ first two restrictor-plate races this season. He finished fifth in the season opener at Daytona and second at Talladega. Hamlin was 14th and 30th, respectively. “I have always really liked the bigger tracks. It’s way more mental than physical,” Harvick said. “You’re worn out by the end of the race. “You spend a lot of time looking in the mirrors anticipating the other guy’s next move.” Harvick, driving Richard Childress Racing’s No. 21 Chevrolet this weekend, also sees differences in the two Daytona races. “The track gets hot and slick during the races in July. The handling characteristics become magnified a lot more,” he said. “We are shooting for a good-handling race car. We are willing to knock a little speed out of the car for it to handle better.” Notes As a result of an investigation of a particularly brutal accident in this month’s Busch Series race at the track, Kentucky Speedway plans to install 56 feet of the SAFER barrier across a section of its interior backstretch retaining wall. The addition should be complete in time for the track’s next race weekend, July 7-8, featuring ARCA and the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. “Driver safety has been, and continues to be our number one priority,” speedway executive vice president and general manager Mark Cassis said. Chip Ganassi Racing development driver Kevin Hamlin will drive Biagi DenBeste Racing’s No. 4 Dodge this weekend. Rookie Auggie Vidovich was not approved by NASCAR to race at Daytona. Kevin Harvick Inc. driver Burney Lamar continues to lead the rookie standings, 160-150, over John Andretti. |
