who should get a date

what track do you think should get a/or another cup race.

why:

and what track would lose a date, or would you extend the schudle.

my self, I would love to see a cup race at nashville superspeedway.

I would have take a date from new hampshire, that race never seems very exciting.they should have cut it back to a 3/4 mile with banking.

I would also love to see the cup guys run a street course, not road, but street, where I dunno, but guess who would lose another date.

whats you opinion

Re: who should get a date

I pretty much agree with you. Nashville has had great racing there in the Busch and Truck series, and even though they raised the banking, New Hampshire is pretty boring. They could also lose one of Californias dates and race at Irwindale Speeday. That track has some awesome Southwest Tour and Nascar West racing.
As far as street courses go, I think they are lame. There is very little to no passing, and a 3400 lb stock car would be a bowl in a china cabinet.

I agree with elimination of the road races. I'm really not bored with any racing except the road courses. Would be nice to see a race track here in the tri-state area of WV,PA and MD.

Dont agree with the first half, but theres plenty of bias in my opinion. That second part doesnt sound bad at all. Anyway, I have a few add on/take outs.

1. Remove 2nd Fontana date and add Nashville
2. Remove 2nd Fontana date and add Milwaukee (I love that place)
3. Maybe someday, they could remove 2nd Fontana date and add you know what (see user name)

Re: who should get a date

you know I hate when they pull a date from a track, cause they pull busch and trucks too.

I love to see wilksboro back, what about the Rock, is it closed or running something other than nascar.

Whoa there fella. Keep in mind that the NH race is always sold out and is the only track we have for many, many miles. I don't totally disagree with you since we do have two of them versus some of the tracks that only have one. If they all had only one and expanded to some other tracks then I could see it. To take one away from us up here in the sticks and give it to Texas or someplace like that just doesn't feel good. Much rather see Rockingham or the Wilks.

LSC, keep in mind that there currently is no track within many, many miles of me, either ha ha ha. Everything's a plane ride away or a really really long road trip.

Take away 1 CA Speedway and add any other track, I don't care which. That track is a snoozer.

Kentucky is attempting to get a Cup date thru legal channels. IF they go after NASCAR thru a Sherman Anti-Trust case, I believe they have a good chance

NH is much, much better since they widened the turns, but it still pains me to think Barre stuck it to N. Wilksboro to give NH a second date.

Both street races and road races tend to not be spectator-friendly. 80% of the course is hidden from view from most seating. (The same with the Brick Yard, I hate to say.)

How about taking both dates from California and giving one to Kentucky and one to Nashville?

Then take one Vegas date and give it back to Rockingham?

Then make it mandatory that no new Cup track be more than 3/4-mile in length and in NO WAY resemble Charlotte!

Ya know when I wrote that I knew someone would respond with the very same complaint that you have ... and rightfully so. Lets have a track in every state and make them run 5o races. Is Rhode Island big enough for a track? Are there enough people in N. Dakota to fill the stands ? My area would have to be run in the summer unless we clean the track with snowplows and allow winter treads and chains. Now that would be interesting.

Speaking of new tracks, what's the current status of the Staten Island Fiasco? There is a losing concept if I ever saw one.

If I were King of NASCAR (Aren't you folks glad that'll never happen?), I'd lobby the Hell out of Portland, Or for a site. The NW has a ton of race fans up there and has given NASCAR some good racers (Chad Little, Kasey Kahne and Greg Biffle come to mind).

The only thing about the NW is that any area where there are more places to get a cup of coffee than there are to partake of an adult beverage... That concept kind of throws me.
