I know where u r coming from about the heat..we had bad storms come thru here yesterday. all the electric went out in the area where I work and live...heck, they sent me home early from work..to what??? a hot house !!! I said F this and my hubby and I spent the next 3-1/2 hours in Chilis...watched qualifying there...nice bartender changed the channel for me.

I cant stand the heat ...thank God for AC ....and 54" widesreen TV

Okay, back to Nascar stuff.
Yes, the Portland Speedway is gone, I never went there. PIR hosts a race every year for Indy cars, not sure what series. But the whiney cars that sound like mosquito's. Not into that. Not even sure who won this year, can't remember his name.

My son likes Indy cars, I tell him all the time, I need a swatter. Can't stand the sound of the motor. Mosquito's! If they would replace the commentators with good old boys, I might be able to watch the racing. I just can't relate to the expressions used by the gentelmen from other countries.Thank you I like your ride too, sure wish I still had the mag. My jeep is more pratical for the area where we live.

Thank you very much. It was real; it was fun; but it sure wasn't real fun! <g> I put 22 yrs, 8 days, 6 hrs in Uncle Sam's Canoe Club. Like so many endeavors, it had a lot of good moments, but overall, it was kinda like hitting yourself in the head with a hammer; it feels so darn good when you finally stop!

I'm just a country boy from Indiana and I'd never traveled extensively if it hadn't have been for the Navy. I wholeheartedly recommend world travel. I still travel in my "Retirement" job and every year my wife and I take one or two cruises. I should get a job as a shill for the cruise industry; it's the only way to travel.
