The qualifying will be Sunday, and I have some drivers that should do fine for the 500.

Dale Earnhardt Jr., will be a threat this year. He finished 3rd in both races at Daytona last year, and with the restrictor plates used in this race, I like Earnhardt to be a top 5 finisher this year.

Jeff Gordon, I think could be the driver to beat, though. He has won at Daytona six times in his brillant career, and it will be interesting to see how he does in qualifying. If he wins the pole---look out!!

Tony Stewart, who dominated the Pepsi 400 race in July, is a strong contender, as he loves to push the envelope at Daytona.

Racers to watch, in case some do fantasy racing: Jamie McMurray, Kyle Busch and Michael Waltrip, who has three wins at Daytona and seems to shine at this track.

My top 3 picks for the 500 are: 1-Stewart, 2-Gordon, 3-Earnhardt, Jr.
