Re: Pocono 500 Race Discussion

Seems pretty stupid on the teams part to even allow him to drive but I guess that is what the point race is all about. He could still take the week off and be in the top 10 and at this point that is all that really matters. If he gets into some sort of spin it could spell disaster all over again. It could also be dangerous for drivers around him. Not that I like him or anything but I think he would be better off taking another week off. I also wonder if by saying that Ricky is on vacation with his family was the nice way of saying .... he didn't help us that much ???

Could be, they weren't happy with their finish. Did you see/hear about Ricky saying that he wasn't speeding on pit road, that somebody didn't like him? That's "crazy", but what does "make sense" is it looks like NASCAR screwing around with another top contender's points!?!?

I've gotta believe that he was speeding. First off he hasn't driven in quite a while so he has lost the touch and secondly it is all done electronically so the chance that someone is screwing with a contender seems real slim ... to me at least.

Hey, why you pickin on my driver? If he couldn't drive, the team doctor or Nascar doctor wouldn't release him to drive. They originally thought that the seat may have contributed to him getting injured. Now he has a different seat. My opinion is that Smoke driving with an injury is a lot safer than half those idiots our there that cause wrecks every week. Did you see him do anything last week that was dangerous for other drivers? No, I don't think so. Okay, now I need a pill or two.

I'm going to spend the race praying. I have enought medical backgrown to not be real happy about Tony's decision. Smoke fans y'all need to do the same.

You're kiddin me right? As far as Im concerend Tony Stewart gets the nod for being the most wreckless driver in NASCAR, Almost killing Jeff and Matt at Daytona, Sherman at Bristol, etc. Comeon I can sit hear and tell you all the time Tony has put guys life on the lines.

I am referring to the 5 car, who has caused a lot of wrecks. All drivers have at one time or another caused wrecks, including your driver. And are you referring to when Jeff and Tony got together? Jeff admitted he was as much to blame as Tony.

Re: Pocono 500 Race Discussion

Sorry Smoke842, this is gonna hurt a bit

A week before Daytona 500-
Following the Budweiser Shootout, Nextel Cup champion Tony Stewart said if NASCAR didn't temper bump drafting the drivers were "probably going to kill somebody."

Daytona 500-
On the 107th lap, Kenseth was on the low side of Stewart when Stewart's Chevrolet appeared to veer into Kenseth's lane, sending Kenseth careening into the infield.

RIGHTTTTT???????? Tony, try sticking with your beliefs.
