Why two dates for Pocono?

I'm not sure why this place gets two races. I wish they'd take one away and give it to Rockingham.

A race going back to the ROCK will never happen unfortunately. I wish it would though. It is possible Pocono will lose a race.... but with the way things are going it will go to California

Crap, CA Speedway is about as exciting as Pocono. It sucks ass, hate it. Hope that word is okay, but I saw Ross use it so I will try it out!!

Re: Why two dates for Pocono?

California already has two dates each year, thanks to Nascar for dropping the legendary Southern 500. But I agree, Pocono is boring.......so the wife and I are going camping and will probably miss it.

Re: Why two dates for Pocono?

I constantly see ads on the TV for tickets so obviously it is never a full house. Along with the rest of you I find one race there boring. Two is insane, but I'm sure it is good for the local economy.

Come on Nevada.... Just cause it has 2 dates already doesn't mean a thing. Hell fire Texas had to sue to get a second date... Kentucky is suing to get the first date. California was just handed (a major race) second date. And Cali sucks.

From what I've been reading NASCAR wan'ts to put a race in NY. I think if they get a track one of Pocona's races will be moved there.

I heard NY was going to be similiar to Richmond...if so...I hope they do it. I haven't heard anything recently of the pacific northwest track...wonder if that's stalled?

Another in New York, then Washington State... it will be interesting to see which track's lose races. I bet it won't be any race tracks owned by ISC.

Re: Why two dates for Pocono?

I like the idea of the NY track only because it is supposed to be a short track. we need more of that type of tracks and less of the 1 1/2 mi tracks.

I also find pocono boring as well as NH. they were talking about shortening that track a few years ago, but they just repaved and I fell asleep.ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

Every few months the papers run something about the track here in the Northwest. Everyone gets really excited every time there's news about it. Until it actually happens, I'm not going to count on it. There's always some uproar with taxes or who will pay for it. The last location was in Washington. Maybe someday...when I'm 80 yrs old.

Re: Why two dates for Pocono?

I read something on Nascar.com both tracks ( Washington State and NY are both screwed I believe. They said all support just dropped for the one in Washington while the one in NY seems to not be getting any support.
