Re: Newman to Stewart-Haas

Krissie Newman's blog she wrote today tells a different story:

Don't Get too Excited Just Yet

"Don't believe everything you read on the internet! There have been some recent articles posted that reporters have put out that sound factual. However, Ryan has not verbally agreed to anything and is still working on his 2009 and future plans. It is funny how much speculation has been going on about Ryan's future. Everyone will know when the deal is signed, the i's are dotted and T's are crossed. Sorry to disappoint, just don't want anyone to jump to conclusions.

On to other things.
This has been a week of controversy. I don't know how those celebs in LA handle all the false information and attention the media puts out there. Don't even get me started on Rusty Wallace!

The race in Indy was a disappointment, but we did the best with what we were given. I was scared to see the guys get into the race cars knowing that in 6 laps their tires were going to be showing cords. The ten lap shootouts we witnessed became a game of survival and fast pit stops. Interesting but not worth the money the fans pay to sit in those seats. Fans deserve better than that.

Well we are off to Pocono a little early. We had an appearance for Watkins Glen Race Track in NY and then we came to PA to spend a little time with my family before the race weekend craziness. Which is now going to be more insane thanks to an ill informed reporter from ESPN. Sorry, if you can't tell I was a little ticked. Hope everyone has a great weekend."

An ill-informed reporter from ESPN? Nah... couldn't be.

It may not be true. Its just what I heard. you would think after the truex situation, that ESPN would get driver confirmation before reporting it, but go figure.

Love that part too

I've always liked Krissie. She's the real deal to me, unlike most of the wives and girlfriends we see following their drivers around.

I thought the same thing. ESPN must have learned its journalism from Dan Rather on CBS; "If you can report the news, invent it!"

Re: Newman to Stewart-Haas

rusty's whining gets old but my problem with him is that you can tell who he likes and who he doesnt. he is never neutral. im sure everyone remembers the charlotte fall race last year when rusty spent the entire time encouraging junior to retaliate after a tap from jeff gordon. They pay him to call races, not be a cheerleader. not to mention he wouldnt look very good in a miniskirt.

??? OK, Steve. I give up. What gives Krissy "credibility?
Being married to a Cup driver? (Do we HAVE to include the illustrious Delana Harvick on the "credibility list?")
Loving animals? (I heard of a guy once who had affections for a certain winsome ewe. Credibility?)
Being cute? (Well, I guess Brittany Spears just jumped up a few pegs, eh?)
Stating something a lot of us partly or fully agree with? (???)

Re: Newman to Stewart-Haas

Man, does this ever end?!

Last year it was all about the Jr. rumors, now it's all about the Stewart/Newman rumors. Can't these guys just stay put?

As for where Newman goes, I'm lackadaisical.

Silly Season is an annual event, Penny. Hell, it's the only reason jayski.com got started. Silly Season has become a NASCAR institution!

Re: Newman to Stewart-Haas

It's been rumored for the last two-three weeks that Newman was going to go to Stewart Hass even before Tony Stewart announced HE was leaving Gibbs!

This is not news - ESPN always acts like they are breaking the hot stuff but in truth, they aren't.

Re: Newman to Stewart-Haas

What I find interesting about the article is that Newman will be in the #4 car. Where'd the #4 come from? Does Haas even have rights to that number?

Anyone else find it interesting/odd that a person who is trying to tell you something is wrong by writing about it on the internet in a blog says this first thing.

"Don't believe everything you read on the internet".......
