You're new here, Martin. You will find that there are multiple members who find the Brothers Waltrip to be, personality-wise, the racing community's equivalent of Paris Hylton and Brittany Spears.

My fiancée dislikes Mikey for the 2007 Daytona 500 cheating incident. She's also a true Juan Pablo Montoya hater, we were in the stands at Watkins Glen when he had his shoving match in Turn 1 with Kevin Harvick. JPM's arrogance is another one of the big turn-offs for her. |

With the new ESPN, Jerry Punch sounds too tired to get excited about what's going on in the race, Rusty was a much better driver than he is a commentator and Dale Jarrett makes way too many "uh" pauses between words and gets a little annoying after a while. Speed's Craftsman Truck Series coverage (minus Mikey of course) is pretty much the most enjoyable NASCAR TV coverage there is these days. |

| Re: Guaranteed positions for Pocono Earlier this week, Mikey was bragging about the "new" car they built, with some kind of new tubing for the chasis, which would make the car lighter and faster. Can't wait to hear that goofballs comments about it tomorrow night on Speed. |

Back to the top, or chosen 35 as Bob puts it... well I don't know what to say that hasen't been said here before. It's just wrong. I wish I could dare Brian France or Mike Helton to honestly tell me that it makes sense while keeping a straight face. |

| Re: Guaranteed positions for Pocono I could have sworn he was. Not just because of the Edmonton race, but last I knew he was also doing the Indy Lites, which would be a serious waste of brodcast talent. I guess that may have changed. |

| Re: Guaranteed positions for Pocono I think I would make an awesome Nascar Comentator! All I need to do is learn everything, and not look so ugly. I already know broadcasting (as its my career) and love the sport. What more could you ask for! Seriously though. TNT Coverage sucked, Fox was meh. ESPN wasnt bad...but for some reason a lot of people kept experiencing difficulties on the networks side durring the race. There was one part where it was out for 5-7 mins. Hopefully this isn't a problem for the remainder of their coverage. |
