I thought so. Maybe I'm watching racing in a different universe.

Hey slot cars are awesome! But seriously, I think Nascar will spec engines in the next few years. I wouldn't put it pass them to dumb down creativity anymore than they already have. Next they will limit the paint schemes, and the number of sponsor stickers cause it makes the car go faster. Seriously one of those small stickers adds 2HP! The big ones add 10!!!

All I have to say now about Nascar's regulation of the cars is...Big Brother? Big Brother can you hear me? Wait this isnt Nineteen-Eighty Four!

actually, they're starting to clear coat the cars which removes the drag associated with the decals.

We already have a spec chassis, spec tires, spec gears, a spec body (except for the bumper covers which are individually spec'd), spec decals (both content and placement), a spec wing and a spec splitter. Why not a spec engine & spec paint schemes?

How about a spec driver? A 150 pound driver will lighten the car compared to a 250 pound driver. Maybe CashCAR will make teams only field drivers in a certain weight range...

They couldn't go that far. That would be discrimination. But maybe Na$car can pay to have the definition changed to exclude them.

Please no. I don't like the idea of spec car racertainment.
Diversity was one of the reasons I started watching motor racing.

Not sure Bob... the company wont tell us. I know the engines are 350's cause I help seal them up and I'm the one that packages them. Their all the same.
