Chase standings are looking tight.

Re: Allstate 400 @ The Brickyard - "Live Chat"

Pathetic.

NASCAR needs someone on site who can make decisions that make sense.

This race should have been called - they knew this going in starting in the first practice.

I'd cut them more slack but do we need to go back and look at the horrendous decision NASCAR made back in CA where they tried to finish the race (unsuccesfuly) at 3am Eastern time.

Re: Allstate 400 @ The Brickyard - "Live Chat"

I missed a good part of the race due to a relatives picnic, and then I walk into a fiasco of competition cautions every 10 laps and to watch stinkin' Johnson win, how thrilling!!

Why didn't they just use the Pocono tires and give them a try?

I noticed Johnson wasn't complaining too much in Victory Lane. It was the perfect scenerio for a polesitter. A series of 10 lap runs with the first pit stall. How much easier can it get? Yes, his car was fast, but there were never any long enough runs to find out what some guys really had.

Of course that arse wouldn't complain, the race was to his advantage. I agree, I think the outcome might have been a bit different had we had less cautions.

Mike Helton, during his interview mid-race, looked as though he would have rather been having a root canal. I would LOVE to be a fly on the wall tomorrow when NASCAR has they weekly meeting of the suits.
