Re: Who's NASCAR's biggest disappointment?

While "disappointment" feels too strong, the total season after all is not yet 50% complete, we are a bit surprised that the 88 will be slightly behind their average for wins while running for DEI ("full seasons" average is 2.1 and a little bit) if they do not win the next event.

They've got a clear shot at bettering their Top 5, Top 10, and some other averages, but "winners" ---

Presently they remain - can run up front, cannot seal the deal.

But, season is just now approaching the half.

Re: Who's NASCAR's biggest disappointment?

Since we are not just looking at rookies I'll go with the "other" choice, but I won't say who !!!

Re: Who's NASCAR's biggest disappointment?

I picked "other" because in my mind, and I might be biased here, I expected a whole lot more from Montoya this season! Here we approach race #18, or halfway, and so far, no good for the 42!

Reed Sorenson's performance has been abysmal and unless he turns this around, Ganassi will be wise to let him seek fortune elsewhere. Sometimes it's circumstance and since old Chippy decided to do the "crew chief musical chairs" neither team has gotten much better. A change of scenery might do the young man good!

None of the above because I didn't have any expectations of any of those. I'm a race fan, not a driver fan. But that's just me.

For me it was a toss up between Casey Mears, Dave B3aney and Jacques Vileunue (sp) (One day I swear I'll remember how to spell his name!)

Re: Who's NASCAR's biggest disappointment?

HMS - JJ, JG, & DEJ - DEJ has run the best of the bunch, I think everyone was expecting JJ, JG, & DEJ to be in the victory lane a little bit more than they have.

Agree..... Yes Jr's third in points and not having a bad year BUT it's far from what HIS fans and NASCAR were hoping for thus far!

Re: Who's NASCAR's biggest disappointment?

I went with Jimmie Johnson. After the past few years that he has had, this year he's falling pretty short. Didn't expect much out of the open wheelers this year, so no dissappointment there. Same with Sorenson. Tony still has time to pick it up,cause he never really does much the 1st part.
