I had wanted to get a fresh thread started about how to get an avatar but have run out of time. Flying out for a few days in the morning. So fyi...

I'm the only one who's got access to give avatars. They are specifically for members who have contributed the most to the community. I've not decided on the details but some of the things that could go into earning an avatar include:

• length of time as a member
• number of posts
• quality of posts
• helping recruit new members
• following the forum rules
• civil but passionate posts
• being friendly
• getting other websites to link to us
• adding our link in your signature at other forums
• having fun here

For the most part, I've been working thru members based upon post count & join date to pass out avatars so far. All moderators can have an avatar but some haven't asked for me to upload one yet.

I hope to make a more formal annoucement later this week after I return Wednesday.

Thats Count Dooku played by horror/sci-fi legend Christopher Lee. Dooku sliced off Anakin Skywalkers arm in a lightsaber duel in Attack of the Clones and even dueled supreme Jedi Master Yoda to a standstill but an older more powerful Skywalker sliced off both Dooku's hands in a rematch lightsaber duel in Revenge of the Sith and with the Count on his knees defeated, used two lightsabers in a scissorlike move to decapitate Count Dooku at the Emperors order. It was then that the Emperor saw that this young man had the power and aggression he was looking for in an apprentice. Okey Doke?

Sounds cool.... I like the Star Wars movies....havent seen any since the 3rd one......maybe I should have a SW fest one day and catch up
