i too wish somebody from NASCAR would go to IndyCar. a couple of names going the other way would do A LOT for that series (which in my biased opinion is already great).

Heard some whispers from my source and he is telling me he is gonna go to to Peneske and fill in Ryan's spot..........BUT, BUT is it Ryan Newman in the #12?........OR, OR is it Ryan Brisco in the 6?!?!?!

i think Briscoe has shown enough improvement as of late that Roger will keep him around another year.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him go to the IRL with Roger and have 3 teams.
I really think the IRL is back on the up swing and they are Salivating to take a few NASCAR drivers because the NASCAR fan will tune in to see what happens.
We know Casey is going to follow the $$$ but roger has the $$$.
So don't be surprised.
Casey goes and does well and the ball starts rolling. Next Yealey is looking and so on and so on.
Don't laugh, I remember JPM went to NASCAR and had a little success and look the gates opened.
The IRL should take a page out of NASCARS book.
You build it and they will come.

i definately care where Casey Mears goes in 2009.... I have been a fan formany years, andlike others, dont think its fair to judge someone who obvioulsy hasnt had any stability in 4 years. I hope he ends up at RCR but wont be dissappointed if hesin the#12. He needs confidence from the fans, and I think both Richard Childress and Roger Penske have the capability to provide that for him

I don't think having "confidence from the fans" will help him. He needs to be pushed to the front and forced to perform instead of kept in the closet and allowed to "coast". Casey's one of those "good guys" who is a good racer, but not very "pushy". And you don't win races waiting for the other racers to get out of your way. I like him as a person, but don't think I'd ever hire him as a driver...

But then I've been wrong before.
