Uh, okay, don't yell at me again, but what color is this car??? My computer at work shows it as beige. That's why I didn't like it. My computer at home shows it as white. Which is it? And why are these colors so different. Weird. Weird like me.

Smoke, beige on one screen and white on another, sounds like you need a computer somewhere in between, the car is cream colored.

www.NASCAR.com under top stories says the car is "cream". It's possible that there's red showing through, I haven't seen the car, other than a picture.

For his fans the color is irrelevant. The win is what they are really looking for and then of course the championship.

May someone droped their coffee cup in the paint, and didn't want to go back to the paint store.

LSC, I'm a huge fan of Junior. But the color of the car sucks. We're talking about the car, not the driver. Color matters!!!! For some of us. Will Junior have a red racesuit or a beige one? These are all very important questions for his fans. Very important.

Re: Jr.'s Paint sheme for fathers day.

I can't stand it anymore...the color is significant in this case...if you will remember, Ralph Earnhardt rand this color way-backwhen (his # was and Dale Sr. ran the color and the #8 in the dirt a couple of times and on early asphalt...also, I think Dale Sr. ran the color and the number a few time in the Busch series (I could be wrong on this)...the fathers day thing, to me, is an obvious attempt to remember and bring back memories of Dale Jr's heritage...so, indeed this cream color does matter...at least to this Jr. fan.

Keep up the good reading, kids...hope grandma get that big screen tv...with surround sound and stuff...racin' is great. NASCAR could use a muffler thing though...on DW!

I beg for forgiveness. I am a style person myself when it comes to my personal stuff but when I'm cheering on one of my teams I really don't care all that much about what color the car is or who is sponsoring it on any particular week. My ultimate wish is the same as their ultimate goal. WIN at your game. The car color, the uniforms are just icing on the cake. Just bring home the trophy and make me happy along with that sponsor who has paid big bucks to see his company in Victory Lane.

Re: Jr.'s Paint sheme for fathers day.

Sorry folks, I just don't get this "Retro Bud car on Father's Day" thing. I can never remember Dale the Elder running a Bud-sponsored car. IF he ever did I believe it was a one-up-type of deal.

Though Bud had its name on earlier cars, the major sponsorship they did was with Junior Johnson (Neil Bonnett and Big Mouth), and Rick Hendrick (Kenny Schrader). The closest I remember Dale being with Bud was when he stuck Big Mouth in the backstretch fence at the Richmond Fairgrounds in ...? 1985? If anyone has any info on his running a Bud car, I'd be interested in reading it.

But they want Earnmhardt the Junior to run a retro scheme to sell a lot of toy cars, eh? Then paint if correctly! It's gloss white with red Bud logos, a red roof, and a red spoiler on the rear.

I can see Anheiser-Busch wanting a retro scheme, but get it right! Don't do some "artsy-fartsy" concept of what it might have been. And to use this Father's Day thing to infer that it's some type of tribute to Daddy Dale is really lame, IMNSVHO.

If they wanted a Dale Sr tribute, how about a one-time blue/yellow Wrangler paint scheme? Now THAT might choke me up a little!

Come on Bob.. It's a tribute to his dad and grandad, who both run beige paint schemes at one point. JR added the old BUD emblem to make it a little more retro...

OK, I'll concede a bit. However, the placement of the Bud logos make it look more like a Junior Johnson Chevy than any car he or Ralph ran, that I can remember. I maintain it wasn't one of the most brillant promotions I have seen the paint scheme gurus come up with to sell toy cars.

<sigh>Methinks that I have followed this sport for waaaaay too long and I'm a bit out of sync with today's fans in some ways.
