| Open letter to Tony Stewart Bob Pockgrass at SceneDaily has written an open letter to Tony Stewart asking him to make decision on what Tony is going to do next year. Bob asks Tony, "Tell us if you’re leaving and who your sponsors are going to be if the deal with Haas CNC goes through. We’re pretty sure it is going to and you have a foot out the door of Gibbs, but who will be your sponsor and your teammate? C’mon, inquiring minds want to know." He say, "Tony, we sincerely don’t mean to put pressure on you or send your team into a funk. We want you to make the right decision for yourself, so take the time you need – just not a minute more because our futures hang in the balance. And if you can’t announce what you’re doing, can you at least whisper in our ears what you think you’ll end up doing? We promise to keep it all a secret and it would never leak out. Promise." Tony's decision may start the dominoes to fall in preparation for 2009.

| Re: Open letter to Tony Stewart Note to Bob Pockgrass at Scene Daily: You are a media reporter. Wait until the news happens then report. You don't have a penny invested in Stewart's future and what he is negotiating now directly reflect on his future, not yours. It's all going to happen when it's supposed to happen, not before. Yeah, apparently Smoke is the lynch pin in NA__AR domino affect (or is that effect?). But things will happen in their own sweet time. Media hacks...Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

| Re: Open letter to Tony Stewart Thank you Mr. T. We were so friggin' frustrated/angry/(anyones favorite word here) with the "grasses" useless ramblings that we were praying to come back as a lawnmower as a means towards some likely psychologically questionable means of revenge. We also conciously held back because we feared the Biscuit might see our ramblings as personally inclined disfavor/attack/assault in nature. NEVER our intention. NEVER. What an absolute ignorable is the "grass". VROOM, VROOM - blades sharp and spinning, here it comes. |

| Re: Open letter to Tony Stewart Quote:
I appreciate Buscuit's giving us the link and reporting the article. (The way Pockgrass might consider doing; first the article, THEN the reporting. Take a lesson from Biscuit, Pockgrass!) My ire was raised by the arrogance of Pockgrass' "demanding" that Smoke make a decision so that he would have something of substance to write. I swear, some of these supposed professional hacks make me wonder if there is a department hidden deep in the bowels of WalMart where they get their credentials? |

| Re: Open letter to Tony Stewart Next time I'll take the time to read the link. Note to Bob Pockgrass: I still think your piece is a piece of journalistic ca-ca, but I understand it a bit better. It wasn't written as a plea directly from you. You wrote it in a quasi-satirical vein, through the theoretical voices of the other big name drivers who have contracts in question this season. You wrote it as if THEY needed Smoke's decision so they could make theirs. A mediocre attempt to make a case for Stewart to commit so that you and your fellow hacks might have something new to write about. My ill feelings are tempered a bit but I still think it was an arrogant attempt to make news and not report on it. "Their futures hang in the balance...?" Hint: When you write your next third person cry for help, please look up the definitions of the words, "Want," and "Need," first. Scotty was right. How eff'ed-up was that statement? |
