Kudos to Toyota for getting it taken care of instead of waiting for a dozen people to get killed because of a poor design, such as the Ford Pinto and especially the 70/80's Chevy truck gas tanks come to mind. |
I worked at a Toyota dealership for 12 years, I agree with all that you said!!!! Take care of it before it gets to be a "problem". They are a good company. They found a "problem" with a part in the steering of the Runner, they have replaced over 1,000,000, not just on the new Runners, they replaced the one in my husband's which is a 1994. He said the part getting replaced is $300.00 each times over 1,000,000 units replaced, and they only ever found a problem with 3 units. So, at least, you know they do take care of the consumer, they are a quality driven company.
