Re: Dover Race Discussion

I've always been a Nascar hater, but I've decided to give it a chance over the past week or so. Anyway, I watched about half the race today, and it wasn't too bad. I was really surprised that I didn't hate it.

Anyway, I look forward to watching a few more races to see if this Nascar stuff is going to be something I can enjoy in the future.

Hopefully, I'll learn some stuff here at this forum (seems like a nice, peaceful forum), so I can get into the discussions a little more.

Congrats to Matt Kenseth on a good win today.

But how the hell did Jimmie Johnson finish 6th?

Welcome, Thrash. I'm relatively new in here myself. As with any other major sport, NASCAR (just one of a number of major league-level motor sports sanctioning bodies) isn't perfect but normally its entertaining and good for debate.

I'd like to hear why you were (I'll take the liberty of using the past tense) a "NASCAR Hater?" I don't follow stick & ball but I once did and I have my reasons why it no longer interests me. I'm interested in why others feel the way they do.

I think I can speak for a number of us in saying I hope you continue to watch and enjoy. But, if not... Different people like different things; doesn't make either bad

This is an excellent group. Lots of polite debate and discussion.

A combination of having an excellent crew, top-notch equipment, and superior driving skill, with a smidgeon of luck thrown in.

Hi, Thrash13, welcome to GoTeamsGo! We have a cool time here, hope you stick around. And I agree with you, I don't know how the hell the 48 finished 6th. Credit the team I guess. No. I don't want to do that. I am very sad that he didn't finish 40th.

Welcome to GoteamsGo Thrash. In answer to your question on Johnson finishing 6th... wellhe got one of those "TIMELY" cautions.
